Accommodation and resources

As a community, we are very proud of our school. After many years hard work and support from the W.E.L.B, we were granted capital funding of £0.9 million to build a new school in January 1999 and staff and pupils transferred to the new building in May 2001.

RESOURCES: Our modern building has five classrooms resourced with Interactive White Boards, A/V equipment, a networked computer system and a range of curriculum and play equipment. The classrooms are linked to a central resource area containing a library and ICT suite. ICT equipment includes monitored internet access, iPads, camcorders, interactive slates, scanners and digital microscopes. Pupils take part in webinars with other organisations across NI.
PE equipment provides resources for a wide range of activities including athletics, hockey, rugby, football, netball, tennis, dance and gymnastics. A permanent Orienteering course is currently being installed on-site. The school hall is equipped with audio, musical and lighting equipment for school and community productions.

OUTDOOR FACILITIES The outdoor setting is magnificent, the school being located in a picturesque forest area adjacent to a National Trust property and Forest Park. Outside, there are playground and grass areas for general play, a sand-based pitch to cater for all the different sports on offer, a sensory garden and an adventure park. Daily access to these facilities enables our children to develop their balance, co-ordination, social and interactive skills whilst having fun in a truly beautiful setting.

The peripatetic Music Service offers tuition in a range of instruments including brass, woodwind, violin and drums. The school also uses the facilities offered by Fermanagh Lakeland Forum (ie. for swimming). The National Trust property and grounds of Florencecourt House are used by most classes each year as part of cross-curricular activities and classes have also visited other local amenities including the nearby Marble Arch Cave system.
